Melissa Carter is a member of "The Bert Show" on All The Hits Q100 in Atlanta.

Being the first out Morning Show Co-Host in Atlanta radio history, Atlanta Magazine said of her efforts, "Carter's frank openness about her sexual orientation has done more for mainstream Atlanta's acceptance of the gay community than a thousand activists could." (November 2004)

Melissa served as a Grand Marshal in Atlanta's Gay Pride Parade in 2002, and has been honored as "Best Radio DJ" by Atlanta's Creative Loafing two years in a row.

She performed in Atlanta productions of "The Vagina Monologues" and "Shear Madness."

Melissa is also a kidney transplant recipient, and works with several organizations in promoting organ donation awareness.
